The show opened with a footage of last week’s The Miz’s promo on “Talking Smack.” The promo was about how the Intercontinental Championship was tarnished by quitters and losers. Minutes into the show, the moments grew tense as Shane McMohan thought Daniel Bryan owed Miz an apology and that he shouldn’t have provoked the talent.
But Miz cut another promo when Maryse and Miz were already in the ring. He also went on to say that the fans were cowards and they were cheering for the wrong people. Miz was soon interrupted by Dolph Zuggler. Miz was then challenged by Zuggler but he walked out from the ring after teasing to fight.
Here’s a look at the results of WWE Results from Tuesday night.
Hype Bros defeat The Vaudevillains: The Tag Team Championship Tournament raged on, as Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley aimed to overpower Aiden English & Simon Gotch in the first round. The Vaudevillains tried to take control but it was The Hype Bros who moved closer to the new championships with their win.
AJ Styles defeats Apollo Crews: AJ Styles continued with his form and even called himself “the new” Face that Runs the Place.
Naomi & Becky Lynch defeat Natalya & Alexa Bliss: The battle among Becky Lynch, Naomi, Natalya and Alexa Bliss grew intense but Naomi and Becky ultimately emerged as winners.
Heath Slater & Rhyno defeat The Headbangers: Former WWE Tag Team Champions The Headbangers returned to WWE to fight Slater and Rhyno but suffered defeat. Rhyno also got a taste of the Headbanger’s power as he got eight stitches after the fight.
Baron Corbin defeats Dean Ambrose: Corbin continued to run the tides in his favour by defeating Ambrose in a phenomenal fight.
